Movie Title: Henker – Der Tod hat ein Gesicht (2002)
Movie Plot Summary: They are the only men who are allowed to kill. Each in his own way. Always at the break of day. They carry out a sentence pronounced by rule of law. Hangmen. The last executioners of Germany, the former East Germany, France, Hungary, Yugoslavia and Romania have faced the camera. They are living eye-witnesses of the end of an era: 800 years of the death penalty in Europe. The film provides the viewer with a close-up biographical look at the lives of the enforcers of this penalty and of their personal fates. Movie Title: Washing Down Decks (1901)
Movie Plot Summary: We here present a remarkably life-life scene in the early morning on board an American Man-o-War. The jack tars are lined up for deck washing. A number of them have their scrubbing brushes mounted on long handles and are vigorously rubbing the deck, while three lazy looking chaps with a smile of victory which indicates that they have the soft job of the day, are playing a hose for the jacks who are scrubbing. The water effects presented in this picture are very fine.
